The Bangladesh-India Power Transmission Center at Bheramara in Kushtia is receiving 600 MW of electricity daily from India through two interstate grid lines. Bheramara of Kushtia is getting 500 MW from Bahrampur of India and 100 MW from Tripura via Comilla. Infrastructure is being constructed to import more than 500 MW of electricity through Bheramara Transmission Center. Several foreign engineers are working here.
